What We Believe and Teach
1. The Divine Inspiration, Authority and Sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures. (2 Tim 3:16).
2. The Unity of the Godhead with the distinction of Persons in that equal honour is due. (Col 2:9 & Matt 28:19).
3(i). That the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ truly became man, being begotten of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. (Luke 1:35).
3(ii). That His death was a sacrifice to God and a propitiation for the remission of sins. (1 Cor 14:4).
3(iii). That He was raised from the dead.(Acts 2:24 & 1 Cor 15:4).
3(iv). That He ascended to the right hand of God and is now the All-Sufficient High Priest ofHis people. (Heb 4:14-15).
3(v). That He will first come again to receive them unto Himself and afterwards to set up His kingdom. (Acts 1:11, 1 Thes 4:16-17 &1 Cor 15:24-25).
4. That in consequence of the fall of Adam, man was corrupted, became a sinner, alienated from God, without strength, and at enmity against God. (Rom 5:12 & 5:6).
5. The need of the Holy Spirits work in regeneration and sanctification. (Titus 3:4-6).
6(i). That the justification of the sinner before God is by faith alone. (Rom 5:1, Eph 2:8-9 & Gal 2:16).
6(ii). That every justified one is born of God. (John 1:12-13).
6(iii). That such a new birth results in and is made evident by Holiness of Life and good works. (James 2:17-18 & Eph 2:10).
7(i). That at death the spirit of man does not cease to exist or become unconscious. (Luke 16:22).
7(ii). That the dead will be raised, either to life eternal or eternal condemnation, and that the blessedness of the righteous and the punishment of the unrighteous will be alike, eternal. (Rev 20:11-15).
What We Practice
8. The customary observance of the ordinance of Believers Baptism by immersion, on personal confession of faith, and the commemoration of the Breaking of Bread on the first day of the week, insofar as circumstances allow. (Acts 2:41-42).
9. The reception at the Lord’s Table of all Believers, believed or known to be sound in faith and Godly in life. (Rom 15:7).
10. The conducting of services for worship under the guidance of the Holy Spirit with opportunity for the exercise, in the Assembly, of all true gifts of edification, subject to the Lordship of Christ. (1Pet 4:10-11).
11. The customary activities of the Church such as Gospel work, Childrens work, Young Peoples Services, Womens Meetings and other activities, which accord with the Trust Deed. (Matt 28:19-20).
